A quick and easy no-bake fudge recipe with a creamy texture and cookie dough chunks, perfect for busy evenings or unexpected guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (400g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 can (14 oz / 397g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups (180g) heat-treated all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (175g) mini chocolate chips
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup (227g) of unsalted butter.
  2. Once melted, stir in 2 cups (400g) packed brown sugar and 1 can (14 oz / 397g) sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Mix continuously for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth and bubbling gently. Be careful not to let it scorch.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and ¼ teaspoon salt.
  5. Gradually add 1 ½ cups (180g) heat-treated all-purpose flour to the buttery mixture, stirring constantly to avoid lumps until fully combined.
  6. Fold in 1 cup (175g) mini chocolate chips gently.
  7. Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper and pour the fudge mixture in, pressing it down evenly with a spatula.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm enough to cut into squares.
  9. Use a sharp knife to slice the fudge into bite-sized pieces and serve.

Notes

Heat-treat the flour by baking it at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill bacteria. Chill fudge for at least 2 hours for best texture. If fudge is too soft after chilling, refrigerate longer; if too hard, let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
