These no-bake cookie dough freezer balls are a quick, delicious treat that requires no oven and comes together in under 15 minutes. Perfect for satisfying sweet cravings with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour (unbleached preferred)
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup (65g) brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) milk (whole milk or dairy-free alternatives like almond milk)
  • ½ cup (90g) mini chocolate chips (semi-sweet recommended)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract (or vanilla bean paste) and milk until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt, stirring on low speed until just combined. The dough should be thick but soft; add a teaspoon of milk at a time if too dry.
  5. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips with a spatula, reserving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.
  6. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion the dough into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls and place them about an inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Freeze the tray for at least 1 hour or until the balls are firm.
  8. Transfer the frozen balls into an airtight container or zip-top bag and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Notes

If dough feels sticky while shaping, wet your hands lightly with cold water to prevent sticking. Freeze for at least 1 hour to ensure firm texture. For gluten-free, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour. For dairy-free, use coconut oil instead of butter and almond or oat milk instead of regular milk. Optional add-ins include chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or a sprinkle of sea salt on top.
