  • 2 cups (16 fl oz) cold milk
  • 1520 Oreos, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 small bag (4 ounces) gummy worms
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips or edible candy eyes for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups of cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened and smooth.
  2. Place Oreos in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin until mostly fine crumbs with some small chunks remain. Set aside about 1/3 of the crumbs for topping.
  3. Gently fold 1 cup of whipped topping into the pudding mixture using a spatula to keep it airy.
  4. Spoon a layer of Oreo crumbs (about 2 tablespoons) into the bottom of each serving cup.
  5. Add a layer of pudding mixture (about 1/4 cup) on top of the crumbs.
  6. Repeat layering once more, finishing with a generous sprinkle of Oreo crumbs on top.
  7. Place 2-3 gummy worms on top of each cup, letting them peek out.
  8. Refrigerate the cups for at least 30 minutes before serving to set and meld flavors.

Whisk pudding mix thoroughly to avoid lumps. Fold whipped topping gently to keep texture light. Crush Oreos to a mix of fine crumbs and small chunks for best ‘dirt’ effect.
