A quick and wholesome snack featuring fresh celery stalks filled with creamy nut butter and topped with juicy raisins, perfect for all ages and occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 fresh celery stalks, trimmed to 4-5 inches long
  • Natural peanut butter or almond butter, smooth or crunchy, about 1 tablespoon per celery stalk
  • 810 fresh raisins per celery stalk
  • Optional: chia seeds or chopped nuts for topping
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Rinse 4-5 fresh celery stalks under cold water. Pat dry with a clean towel. Trim the ends and cut each stalk into 4-5 inch pieces to make about 8-10 logs.
  2. Using a butter knife, spread about 1 tablespoon of natural peanut or almond butter evenly inside the groove of each celery stalk.
  3. Place 8-10 fresh raisins along the nut-butter-lined celery groove, spacing them evenly to look like ants marching along the log. Press gently so they stick but aren’t squished.
  4. If desired, drizzle a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup over the logs and sprinkle with chia seeds or chopped nuts for added texture and nutrition.
  5. Arrange the fresh ants on a log snack on a serving platter and serve immediately to maintain celery crispness and nut butter smoothness.

Notes

Use fresh, crisp celery for best crunch. Warm nut butter slightly if too stiff to spread. Add raisins just before serving to prevent sogginess. For nut allergies, substitute nut butter with sunflower seed or soy nut butter. Variations include using dried cranberries, chopped dates, or fresh blueberries instead of raisins.
