A quick and easy fresh spring charcuterie board featuring crisp radishes, delicate edible flowers, and a light, sweet honey whip. Perfect for spring entertaining or a no-fuss, impressive snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bunch radishes, thinly sliced
  • A handful of edible flowers (pansies, nasturtiums, or violets), food-safe and pesticide-free
  • 4 ounces (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 4 ounces (115g) mild creamy cheese like chèvre or fresh mozzarella
  • 34 ounces (85-115g) prosciutto or salami slices (optional)
  • A small handful of toasted almonds or walnuts
  • A few sprigs of fresh thyme or mint
  • Crackers or sliced baguette

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Whip: In a chilled mixing bowl, combine 4 ounces softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons honey, and 2 tablespoons heavy cream. Whip with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Add cream by teaspoon if too thick.
  2. Slice the Radishes: Wash and trim radishes. Slice thinly (about 1/8 inch or 3 mm) using a sharp knife or mandoline. Pat dry and set aside on paper towels.
  3. Prepare Cheese and Meats: Slice cheese into bite-sized pieces or thin rounds. If using cured meats, arrange loosely folded.
  4. Toast Nuts: Toast almonds or walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant and lightly browned. Let cool.
  5. Arrange the Board: Place small bowls with honey whip and nuts on the board. Arrange radish slices in clusters, add cheese pieces and meats, then scatter edible flowers and fresh herbs around edges and empty spaces. Add crackers or bread slices last.
  6. Final Touch: Drizzle a tiny bit of extra honey over the honey whip if desired. Serve immediately or cover loosely and refrigerate up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Chill the mixing bowl and beaters before whipping the honey whip for better texture. Use a mandoline for thin radish slices if available. Keep radishes and flowers dry to avoid sogginess. For vegan version, substitute cream cheese with plant-based cream cheese and heavy cream with coconut cream. Gluten-free crackers or veggie slices can replace regular crackers.
