A quick and easy one-pan honey garlic salmon with tender-crisp green beans and cherry tomatoes, all cooked in a single skillet for minimal cleanup and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus extra for the pan)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for vegetables)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for vegetables)
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes if using. Set aside. Trim the green beans and halve the cherry tomatoes. Toss them in a bowl with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Let it get hot until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the hot pan, skin-side down if they have skin. Press gently with a spatula for 10 seconds. Cook undisturbed for 3 minutes until edges turn opaque and skin is crispy. Flip carefully using tongs.
  4. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the salmon. Add the butter to the pan, letting it melt into the sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes, spooning sauce over the salmon as it bubbles and thickens. Salmon should be cooked through but moist (internal temperature 130-135°F).
  5. Push the salmon to one side of the pan. Add the green beans and cherry tomatoes to the empty space. Toss them in the pan juices and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until green beans are bright green and tender-crisp and tomatoes soften.
  6. Remove the pan from heat. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro and sesame seeds. Squeeze a lemon wedge over everything. Serve immediately, spooning extra pan sauce over the salmon and vegetables.

Notes

Pat salmon dry for best sear. Don’t crowd the pan. Watch honey to prevent burning. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness (130-135°F). Recipe is forgiving—add garlic later if forgotten.
