A quick and easy Halloween punch that looks like magic in a glass with a deep purple color, fizzy bubbles, and floating fruit that resembles eyeballs and potion ingredients. Perfect for parties, it comes together in minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (64 oz) bottle of purple berry punch (like Hawaiian Punch Berry Typhoon)
  • 1 (12 oz) can of frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 (46 oz) can of pineapple juice
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle of lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 1 cup of water
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill punch bowl or pitcher halfway)
  • Optional: Dry ice (for spooky bubbling effect)
  • 1 cup of frozen grapes (green or purple)
  • 1 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 1–2 cups of frozen pineapple chunks
  • Optional: Gummy worms or plastic spider rings

Instructions

  1. Prep your frozen lemonade concentrate: Take the can of frozen lemonade concentrate out of the freezer and let it thaw on the counter for about 20 minutes. If in a hurry, run the sealed can under warm water for a few minutes until pourable but still cold.
  2. Combine the base liquids: In a large punch bowl or pitcher, pour in the entire 64-ounce bottle of purple berry punch and the 46-ounce can of pineapple juice. Stir gently.
  3. Add the lemonade: Pour in the thawed lemonade concentrate and stir well until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the water: Pour in 1 cup of water and stir again. Adjust with more water if a lighter flavor is desired.
  5. Chill the base: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. This step can be done ahead of time.
  6. Add the frozen fruit: When ready to serve, add frozen grapes, raspberries, and pineapple chunks to the punch.
  7. Add the lemon-lime soda: Just before serving, slowly pour in the 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda down the side of the bowl to preserve carbonation. Stir very gently.
  8. Add ice cubes: Fill the bowl or pitcher about halfway with regular ice cubes.
  9. Optional: Add dry ice for the bubbling effect: Using tongs, carefully add small chunks of dry ice to the punch. Never handle dry ice with bare hands. Ensure dry ice has completely dissolved before serving.
  10. Garnish and serve: Add gummy worms or plastic spider rings if desired. Serve immediately in clear cups.

Notes

Do not add the soda too early or it will go flat. Use frozen fruit as part of the ice to avoid watering down the punch. For dry ice, use food-grade dry ice and handle with tongs or thick gloves. Wait until dry ice has completely dissolved before serving to children. The base can be made up to 24 hours ahead. For a lower sugar version, use diet lemon-lime soda and sugar-free lemonade concentrate.
