Quick and easy turkey and cheese pinwheel roll-ups made with flour tortillas, cream cheese, deli turkey, and provolone. Perfect for lunchboxes, road trips, or a fast snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size, about 10 inches)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional but recommended)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices deli turkey breast
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Optional add-ins: thinly sliced bell peppers, shredded lettuce, spinach leaves, roasted red peppers

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take cream cheese out of fridge 20 minutes before starting, or microwave on high for 10-15 seconds. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
  2. Prepare your work surface: Lay a large flour tortilla flat on a cutting board. If tortillas are cold, microwave for 10 seconds to warm slightly.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture: Using a spatula or butter knife, spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture all the way to the edges of the tortilla, leaving about a half-inch border on one edge.
  4. Layer the turkey: Place 2 slices of turkey breast flat on top of the cream cheese, overlapping slightly, in a single layer.
  5. Add the cheese: Lay 2 slices of provolone cheese on top of the turkey in a single layer.
  6. Roll it tight: Starting from the edge closest to you, carefully roll the tortilla into a tight log, keeping filling tucked in. Press gently to seal the seam.
  7. Wrap and chill: Place the rolled tortilla seam-side down on plastic wrap or parchment paper. Wrap tightly, twisting the ends. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Slice and serve: After chilling, unwrap each roll and slice into 1-inch thick rounds using a sharp knife. Clean knife between cuts for neat slices.
  9. Arrange and enjoy: Arrange pinwheels on a platter or pack into lunchboxes. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Don’t skip the chilling step—it helps the pinwheels hold their shape. Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture. For cleaner slices, use a sawing motion with your knife. These taste even better the next day.
