A cool, fruity twist on a classic mojito featuring fresh blueberries, mint, and lime juice. This alcohol-free mocktail is perfect for summer sipping and easy to make in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries (about 75g), washed
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves
  • Juice of 1 large lime (about 2 tablespoons or 30 ml)
  • 1 to 1.5 tablespoons simple syrup or honey (1522 ml), to taste
  • 1 cup chilled carbonated water or club soda (240 ml)
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill the glass
  • Optional garnishes: lime wedge, whole blueberries, sprig of mint

Instructions

  1. Rinse blueberries and mint leaves thoroughly. Juice the lime and set aside.
  2. In a glass or jar, add blueberries and mint leaves. Gently muddle with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release juices and aroma without pulverizing.
  3. Add lime juice and simple syrup or honey. Stir gently to mix and dissolve the sweetener. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes, then slowly pour chilled carbonated water over the top. Stir lightly to combine without losing fizz.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge, a few whole blueberries, and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Adjust sweetness gradually. Chill sparkling water before adding to maintain fizz. Muddle blueberries and mint before adding carbonated water to prevent mess.
